SOLIDWORKS Cloud does require an internet connection and is entirely run from within a web browser.

SOLIDWORKS Cloud is run entirely from within a web browser, so it is compatible with Macs, iPads, and any other product that has a web browser.

For new Yearly and Quarterly subscriptions, there is currently a 15-day cancellation policy. This policy however does not apply for trial offers, monthly subscriptions or quarterly and yearly renewals.

Designs created in SOLIDWORKS Cloud can be opened directly into SOLIDWORKS desktop products, as long as they are connected to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. However, if you need to edit the files, you will need to open them back in SOLIDWORKS Cloud.
Alternatively, you can export to various file formats from SOLIDWORKS Cloud, such as STEP, and import into SOLIDWORKS desktop products if needed.
