Getting Started with 3DEXPERIENCE
3DEXPERIENCE breaks access down by grouping apps into what are known as “roles”. Each role contains a group of apps that work together to complete certain types of tasks. These roles can be focused on anything from engineering to marketing and sales. With over 500 roles available to the platform, it can be hard to know where to start. Regardless of your intentions, to access the basic functionality and collaborative features, everyone on the platform will need access to the Collaborative Business Innovator role. This will allow you to access the platform as well as carry out your communication and further collaboration on the cloud. If you plan on interacting with managed project data throughout the design process, meaning data that has lifecycle management, version control, etc., then you will also want access to the Collaborative Industry Innovator role. The combination of these two roles provides much of the core functionality that ties many of the other 3DEXPERIENCE roles together.
