The Collaborative Industry Innovator is a role on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform that greatly increases the ability to manage your project data. It provides apps that work seamlessly together to allow you to securely store as well as manage the lifecycle and version control of your project data. It ensures that issues aren’t missed and makes sure changes are made all while keeping track of all of your responsibilities. Alongside the Collaborative Business Innovator role, the Collaborative Industry Innovator role provides the core functionality needed for anyone involved in the design process of a project, whether you are actually implementing the changes or just managing them.

3DSpace

3DSpace is another cloud storage solution for your project data and is just as secure as 3DDrive. This provides each user with an additional 20GB of storage, with the ability to purchase more as needed. 3DSpace will be used over 3DDrive when dealing with managed data, meaning you would like to keep track of its lifecycle. It allows you to create “Collaborative Spaces”, in which you can store all of the data for any given project. Not only is it secure from external users, it also gives file sharing access control, allowing for controlling the level of access for additional members. Bookmark Editor

The Bookmark Editor app allows users to create bookmarks that contain commonly used files from their projects. This streamlines and optimizes your day to day workflow. It has a similar structure to that of a traditional file explorer making it familiar and intuitive for all users. Keep your data organized and optimize the structure to ensure your workflow is streamlined with the Bookmark Editor app.

Product Explorer

The Product Explorer app provides the capability to explore the product structure of 3D models both in the form of the assembly structure as well as the 3D model itself. The windows are connected and utilize cross-highlighting technology, meaning when a part or sub-assembly is selected in the assembly structure tree, it will highlight on the 3D model and vice versa. This cuts down on the need for everyone to have a CAD license, allowing those without one to get a more in depth look at the way an assembly was designed. Issue 3D Review

The Issue 3D Review app allows you to pan around your 3D models and pin locations where there are issues or any areas of potential concern. In addition to pinning the location for all to see, an issue is created, allowing you to attach additional information, set priority levels, and assign out for resolution. Reduce any miscommunications and ensure your concerns are addressed properly with Issue 3D Review.

Issue Management

The Issue Management app allows you to manage any issues generated in the Issue 3D Review app as well as create additional issues directly from within the app. Just as with Issue 3D Review, as you create an issue you can attach additional reference information, set priority levels, and assign the issue out to yourself or others to ensure it is resolved. Get an overview of all the outstanding issues that currently exist on your projects along with their status and manage any of their details with the Issue Management app.

3D Markup

The 3D Markup app has some functionality like that of 3DPlay but provides more thorough markup capabilities. This app allows you to create numerous slides, each of which can have a unique viewpoint of your 3D model, 2D drawings, and more, along with their respective annotations. Add notes, shapes, freehand sketches, and more, on-top of your models with appropriate positioning or section views. Provide in depth markups for design reviews with the 3D Markup app.

Collaborative Tasks

The Collaborative Tasks app provides a location where all your assigned tasks can be managed. Tasks are automatically added when you are assigned to things such as Issues or Change Actions. You can also generate your own tasks to assign to yourself or others directly from within the app. You can add an appropriate description and attachments to the task to ensure there is proper direction. The app has a Kanban style board allowing you to keep your tasks organized and easily determine their status. Manage and track all your assigned tasks with the Collaborative Tasks app.

Change Action

The Change Action app allows you to carry out official engineering change actions on 3DEXPERIENCE. You can add appropriate descriptions, assignees, and add the files you expect to change. Through a “work-under” process, all changes will be tracked on these files throughout the lifecycle of the change action. Take a part that requires changes from In-Work to Released with the Change Action app.

Collaborative Lifecycle

The Collaborative Lifecycle allows you to manage the lifecycle of all your managed project data. You can add revisions, branches, and even merge branches into new revisions further along in the design. This also provides the ability to create duplicates of parts or assemblies all while keeping track of its history. Manage and explore the history of part and assembly lifecycle data with the Collaborative Lifecycle app.

Route Management

The Route Management app provides you the ability to create automated routes of sequential tasks such as approvals. You can save a route as a template to use again in the future, which is especially useful if you have a standard approval process. Each task can have individual instructions, assignees, due dates, and completion actions. Create all your automated task routes with the Route Management app.

Compare

The Compare app allows you to compare three factors of your CAD data, the assembly structure, metadata, and 3D model. You can compare two different revisions of the same model or two different models altogether. It provides color coded differences in all three of these aspects. Quickly note and confirm any differences between two revisions or models with the Compare app.
